On Sunday September 26 COMRADE was booked for her final sailing trip, but due to high winds this was cancelled at the final moment. The crew therefore used the time to prepare COMRADE for the return to Beverley Beck for winter maintenance. The sails were removed, folded and stored below followed by the yards. The mast was lowered and standing and running rigging removed and stored below, except the sheet and tack wires which will be removed later.

The trip to Beverley Beck has been provisionally booked for Wednesday October 6.
