The Yorkshire Waterways Museum at Goole organised a special 100th 'berthday' weekend to celebrate the centenary of their Humber Keel SOBRIETY. Society members vessels in attendance were the recently re-rigged 1923 Humber Keel SOUTHCLIFFE, the 1907 Humber Sloop PHYLLIS and a last minute dash from Thorne drydock for the 1926 Humber Sloop SPIDER T, with the ex-Leeds and Liverpool canal barge KENNET and the tug KELLINGLEY.

A large public turn-out kept the museum staff, cafe and stalls very busy with their tug WHELDALE in constant use giving trips around Goole docks. There was plenty of entertainment with folk singers, dancers, fairground rides and Goole Model Boat Club demonstrations with evening folk concerts rounding off a very successful weekend for the Waterways Museum. Happy birthday SOBRIETY!
