On a bright, cool but sunny morning with light winds Steve decided today was the day to step the mast in winter configuration. There were only three of us as we commenced cleaning and protecting the standing rigging with wire wool and linseed oil. However, we were soon joined by a fourth hand to help with the awkward lifting and the task proceeded quite smoothly.
