The Old Maritime Secret Supper Club
Spider T in the patchwork of ice at Keadby The Edwardian dining area creates the ambience
Wednesday December 15 was a day for breaking the ice on the Stainforth and Keadby Canal. In the daytime the frozen canal ice was broken up by a vessel leaving the lock and in the evening it was the launch of 'The Old Maritime Secret Supper Club'.
Hosted by Mal and Val Nicholson aboard the Humber Sloop SPIDER T, renowned Chef Nigel Brown cooked a selection of appetisers served by Lisa Barker, who also kept the glasses topped up, for invited guests from the press, Humber Yawl Club and the HKSPS.
Catering for up to 12 people, the luxurious Edwardian style interior of SPIDER T creates a special atmosphere for that special occasion, while Nigel prepares and discusses the dishes in full view of the diners for the ultimate culinary experience.
